Closing A Chapter

on

Today is officially my last day of school at the Ohio Center for Broadcasting, and I’ll be a graduate next week. It has been a challenging, but completely rewarding year. I have made so many friends, and my classmates have become like family. I have had many amazing opportunities and tried things I never thought I would, like working in radio for example. But most of all I have learned so much about myself over this past year. I feel wiser, stronger, more accomplished and more driven.

As exciting as the chapter ahead seems, I am sad to close this one. I wish I knew how to put into words all the feelings I have today. This chapter in my life was filled with me “getting uncomfortable to get comfortable,” working with my mentors, healing a broken heart, changing my job a few times, stress about money, loss of loved ones, interning at Clear Channel and Fox 8, facing fears, trying to break an arrow with my neck (yes, seriously), arial ribbon class…and on and on… This has been a great ride!

Thank you to everyone that has been a part of this chapter. To my family and friends that stuck by me while I laughed, cried, yelled, pouted, freaked out, went into zombie mode cause I didn’t sleep for a few months, bitched and celebrated over this past year. I appreciate it more than you’ll ever know.
