Compassion is apparently a virtue I have forgotten lately. The image below, which I found on Pinterest (shocking, I know…), was the wake up call I needed. I need to lose the ego. Stop looking at the past, placing blame, being hurt and angry. I need to forgive. I have confused “being a doormat” and compassion. They are two different things. Just because you show compassion to someone who has hurt you does not make you a doormat. In fact, it actually makes you stronger.
