I recently did a photo shoot with my friend, photographer Shannon Textoris. We started off at Whiskey Island on a gorgeous day right before Hurricane Sandy hit. Lake Erie was eerily calm, the sun was shining and it was so warm out. You never would’ve guessed it was the end of October in Cleveland. Or, by the photos, that its Lake Erie. I wore my favorite sun dress-  a simple, long green dress from Old Navy and was bare foot. Just me, hanging out in nature lol.

Then we made our way out to one of my favorite spots in Cleveland-Little Italy. I wore a deep pink velvet dress that belonged to my mom in the late 80s/early 90s. I guess it would be considered vintage now. Wait, would that make ME vintage now? Then a simple LBD (little black dress) with my new purple Steve Madden platform pumps. We had so much fun shooting, then went to a wine tasting at Little Italy Wines and ended at Maxi’s for some more wine and the best pizza in Little Italy!

I had so much fun frolicking around Little Italy with Shannon. We’ve known each other for over 10 years, but this was the first time we really got to bond. She is an amazing photographer (I’m not just saying that cause we’re friends), and I highly recommend you call on her for your next fashion/family/engagement/wedding/pet/whatever else photo shoot!

Then this week I was at Design Lab Inc. off of Clark and w.33rd in Cleveland. I will be featuring the two designers that run it- D.Hayes and Anton Zbarzh on my show Listen Up Cleveland in a few weeks. I’m so honored I got to be the first to try on some of their handmade pieces! Stay tuned to see which I chose to wear on the upcoming episode!
