Festivals and Red Carpets

Brite

These past two weekends I had the pleasure of covering two more really cool, fun events here in Cleveland. First, on February 16th I was at the 4th Annual Brite Winter Festival in Ohio City. Obviously being a huge lover and supporter of music and the arts (especially locally) it is an event I never want to miss. And this is coming from a woman that doesn’t like playing in snow. 🙂

It’s a great way to go out and party and play outside in that dull stretch between New Years and St. Patrick’s when we’re all suffering from cabin fever. This year, as always with this event, the weather cooperated and was freezing cold and snowy!

Then this past weekend I got to cover the 5th Annual Greater Cleveland Film Commission Road to the Red Carpet event at Pickwick and Frolic.

Road to the Red Carpet is not only a great night of getting dressed up (black tie of course) and watching the Oscars with 600-700 of your closest friends, but it raises so much money for the Greater Cleveland Film Commission which helps to bring both big budget movies (like the Avengers, and soon Captain America) and many independent movies. Having a background in acting, a love of film and the whole process of making movies, I am honored to cover this event and help bring awareness and support to GCFC.
